Our activities are supported by the Centre of Arts promotion Finland, The Ministry of Education and Culture, several foundations and municipalities. The City of Vaasa has supported us since 2015. This has made it possible for us to create several dance pieces, employ many professionals in the fields of art and culture and offer art to audiences both in Finland and abroad.
By becoming a member of the association you will support the activities of the company and Finnish dance art. For our members we offer news and updates of our activities. Members will receive discounted tickets to our performances and discounts to training sessions and other events.

The Association
Tanssimajakka ry (2448052-0) was founded on 1.11.2011. The purpose of the association is to further contemporary dance in Finland, specifically in the Vaasa region, and abroad. In addition to this, the purpose is to raise awareness of dance art and make it better known. The association is a not-for-profit organisation. The association maintains the Malviniemi Company– dance group, which is based in Vaasa.
The activities of the Tanssimajakka ry – association is led by a board, that consists of a chairperson, 2-4 members and 0-2 associate members, all chosen during the general assembly each autumn. The statutory meetings are held twice a year, in the spring and the autumn. The board is given a mandate for a calendar year at a time.
